Chose Wisdom

Chose Wisdom

“Choose my instruction instead of silver,

knowledge rather than choice gold,

for wisdom is more precious than rubies,

and nothing you desire can compare with her.

I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence;

I possess knowledge and discretion.” – Proverbs 8:10–12

We live in a world that constantly tells us what to chase. More money. More recognition. More success. But Proverbs 8 reminds us that the most valuable thing we can pursue isn’t something we can buy or display—it’s wisdom.

Wisdom shapes how we think, how we decide, and how we respond when pressure shows up. It guards us from shortcuts that look good but lead us off course. It teaches us patience, discipline, and discernment when the easy option feels tempting.

On the course, wisdom knows when to lay up instead of forcing the hero shot. It understands conditions, respects limitations, and plays the long game. In life, wisdom does the same. It chooses character over comfort, obedience over impulse, and purpose over pride.

Silver fades. Gold loses its shine. But wisdom lasts. It walks with discretion, moves with intention, and leads us toward lives that are steady, grounded, and fruitful.

This week, let wisdom be what you pursue.

Let it guide your decisions.

Let it shape your walk.

Because nothing you desire compares to a life built on wisdom.
